Robert Eaton was born and raised in Ditchling. He was an avid fan of Brighton & Hove Albion. He attended Brighton College and was a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral. He later moved to America to work as a broker for Cantor Fitzgerald.
Robert Eaton lost his life in the 9/11 terrorist attacks while working in the World Trade Centre. After Robert's passing, his fellow Albion fans held a charity match on 9th November 2001. They donated the proceeds to a football academy in New York. The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund has since raised over £300,000 for charity.
