Connections with Brighton and Hove : Famous skating BBC commentating legend lived in the town for many years before his death in 1996. Lifetime association with Brighton Tigers was president of the club and of Brighton & Hove Entertainment Managers Association. He was honoured by the Sportswriters Association of Great Britain with a Lifetime Acievement Award in 1996. The bus has now been withdrawn.

13 Dennis Dart carried name since February 2002, on METRO Line 7 until April 2004 when bus was sold. In August 2004 Alan Weeks reappeared on Dennis Trident 866. Bus sold in April 2014. Name reintroduced in November 2017 on 830 Mercedes Streetdeck.
