On Saturday 7 August the annual Pride Parade will be taking place, to help overcome problems with road closures and traffic delays, there will no bus services running in the city centre area between 10.45am and 1.15pm.
A reduced frequency will apply on Services 1/1A, 5/5A/5B, 7 and 49/49A during the period of the closure.

From Swanborough Drive to Eastern Road, Upper Bedford Street, Upper St.James's Street to Rock Gardens. Return direct.
From Mile Oak via Montpelier Road, Upper North Street, Regent Hill to HMV/Western Road. Return direct.
Service 2/2A
From Rottingdean to Eastern Road, Upper Bedford Street, Upper St.James's Street to Rock Gardens. Return direct.
From Steyning via Montpelier Road, Upper North Street, Regent Hill to HMV/Western Road. Return direct.
Service 5/5A/5B
From Patcham/Hollingbury via Preston Drove & Ditchling Road to Open Market.

NOTE: From the end of the Parade to close of service, buses will operate via Preston Drove, Ditchling Road and Open Market in both directions.

Service to Marina suspended - buses will operate every 10 minutes between Rock Gardens and the Marina on Service 23.

From Eastbourne via A259 to Rock Gardens. Return from Park Street (westbound) via Rock Gardens to A259.
Service 13X
Buses will operate Non-Stop between Paradise Park and Brighton Station, operating via A26, A27 and Dyke Road. Churchill Square will not be served.
Service 14
From Hangleton buses via Seven Dials, Bath Street, Dyke Road, Buckingham Road, Upper Gloucester Road, Queens Road to Brighton Station. Return via Terminus Road.
From Newhaven via A259 to Rock Gardens. Return from Park Street (westbound) via Rock Gardens to A259.
Service 14C
From Peacehaven via Eastern Road, Upper Bedford Street, Upper St.James's Street, Upper Rock Gardens to Eastern Road/Park Street. Return direct.
Service 21
Normal, except that, during the closure of London Road, buses will arrive and depart at Open Market, returning via The Level.
Service 22
Start and finish at Open Market.
Service 23/25
During the closure all buses will operate as Service 23 to/from Marina. From University, via Lewes Road, Open Market, The Level, Elm Grove, Queens Park Road, Eastern Road, Upper Bedford Street, Upper St.James's Street, Upper Rock Gardens, Eastern Road then as normal route. Return via Eastern Road, Upper Bedford Street, Upper St.James's Street, Upper Rock Gardens, Queens Park Road, Elm Grove, Open Market, The Level to Lewes Road and normal route.

Start and finish at Open Market.

Service 27
From Saltdean buses terminate at Rock Gardens. Turn via Eastern Road, Upper Bedford Street, Upper St.James Street to Lower Rock Gardens. Depart direct.
From Westdene buses via Seven Dials, Bath Street, Dyke Road, Buckingham Road, Upper Gloucester Road, Queens Road to Brighton Station. Return via Terminus Road.

From Bristol Estate/Saltdean/Woodingdean via St.Georges Road, Upper Bedford Street, Eastern Road, Upper Rock Gardens to St.Mary's Church (eastbound stop). Return direct.

From Meadowview normal route to Open Market, returning via The Level.

From Hollingbury, buses terminate at Open Market. From Southwick via Montpelier Road, Seven Dials & Terminus Road to Brighton Station. Return via Upper Gloucester Road, Buckingham Road, Dyke Road, Upper North Street, Regent Hill to HMV/Western Road.
Service 49/49A
From East Moulsecoomb/Lower Bevendean buses terminate at Open Market. From Portslade buses operate via Montpelier Road, Upper North Street, Regent Hill to HMV/Western Road. Return direct.

Start and finish at Open Market.
Service 56
From Patcham & Hollingbury, buses operate to/from Open Market via Ditchling Road, returning via The Level and Union Road. From Knoll Estate, buses operate via Seven Dials, Bath Street, Dyke Road, Buckingham Road, Upper Gloucester Road, Queens Road to Brighton Station. Returns direct via Upper Gloucester Road to Dyke Road.
Service 77
From Devils Dyke, buses will operate via Seven Dials, Bath Street, Dyke Road, Buckingham Road, Upper Gloucester Road, Queens Road to Brighton Station. Return via Terminus Road from Brighton Station.
Services 78/79
Start and finish at Open Market.
Service 81/81B
From Goldstone Valley, normal route to Palmeira Square, then via Furze Hill, Upper North Street, Regent Hill to Western Road/HMV. Return via Western Road, Montpelier Road, Furze Hill to Palmeira Square and normal route. The service is suspended in Queens Park and passengers should use the Service 23 which has been increased during the closure.
Service 472 will operate direct to and from Brighton Station via Dyke Road and the A27 for the 11.40am arrival into Brighton from Sheffield Park and the 11.50am departure to Sheffield Park.
Frequent buses to the Pride event in Preston Park from the Waterhall campsite and Old Steine will be provided by Metrobus, further information is available at the Metrobus website please note that all fares on these special services are £2 and SAVER tickets are not valid.
