Delays can be expected to ALL services during the Children's Parade, we shall endeavour to operate as near to time as possible, but these circumstances are beyond our control.
It is planned that North Street
will be closed from 10.30am until 12.45pm.
The diversions
operated will be as follows:
Buses from London Road, Lewes Road,
Edward Street and the A259 turn in the Old Steine (coast road services at stop
Z, all others at stop Q).
Buses approaching the City Centre from Western Road operate via Montpelier
Road, Upper North Street and Regent Hill to the Clarence Square westbound stop
in Western Road, returning via Western Road direct. Except that –
Route 6
operates through Western Road to and from Brighton Station as normal.
Route
46 operates via Western Road to and from Brighton Station.
Buses
approaching the City Centre from the Seven Dials operate from Brighton Station
via Queens Road to Imperial Arcade. They will turn via Regent Hill, layover on
the north side of Churchill Square and resume service from Clock Tower (Queens
Road). (Route 77 will resume from Churchill Square).
Route 13X – 10.40am
from Brighton will start in Old Steine (stop Z) at 10.52am. 11.40am from
Brighton will start from Churchill Square at 11.46am, pick up at Brighton
Station, then run non stop to Seaford. 10.30am from Eastbourne will run non stop
from Seaford to Brighton Station, continuing to set down at Imperial Arcade.
Routes 18, 78 & 79 operate direct via London Road between Old Steine and
Open Market. Brighton Station will not be served.
Route 21 journeys
between Goldstone Valley and Churchill Square will operate as Route 21A via
Furze Hill, replacing Route 20 over this section. (Route 20 will run between Old
Steine and Queens Park only).
